Airport Information

Houston offers two airports- George Bush International (IAH) and Hobby Airport (HOU). Both are about 30-40 minutes from the hotels. Hobby is smaller and offers primarily flights on Southwest Airlines. We recommend choosing either airport and using Uber or Lyft to reach the wedding hotels.

THINGS TO DO

HOUSTON ZOO Amy and Bijan love the Houston Zoo! It is one of the most visited zoos in the US and offers visitors an immersive experience with over 6,000 animals from around the world. MFA HOUSTON The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is a cultural treasure that seamlessly blends diverse global art collections—from European masterpieces to contemporary creations—into an inspiring and immersive experience for art lovers of all ages. MEMORIAL PARK The Drews family can frequently be spotted walking in Memorial Park on Saturday mornings. TEXAS BBQ: ROEGELS, PINKERTON'S OR GOODE CO. All of these locations are regarded as some of the best BBQ in Houston. Expect delicious brisket and a casual atmosphere at each location. TEX-MEX: NINFA'S (UPTOWN/POST OAK LOCATION) OR LOS TIOS (SAN FELIPE LOCATION) We love our Tex-Mex! You can't go wrong with either spot. The Drews and Todd families celebrated Amy and Bijan's engagement with fajitas and margaritas at Ninfa's. Los Tios is a classic Friday night spot for the Drews family. You may want a reservation to visit Ninfa's while Los Tios on San Felipe accepts walk-in's (sometimes with a short wait, but the bar is a great spot to hang out while you wait for a table!). BREAKFAST/BRUNCH: Buffalo Grille (Casual, Walk-In), Brasserie 19 (Upscale, Reservations Recommended), Local Foods (Casual, Walk-In) SPORTS VIEWING: Plucker's Wing Bar ADDITIONAL DINING Tiny BoxwoodsThis is a great lunch or dinner destination! Tiny Boxwoods is known for a beautiful, garden-like atmosphere, salads, sandwiches, and classic dishes. You will need a reservation for dinner, but walk-ins are normal for lunch. Don't miss getting their famous chocolate chip cookies! Coppa OsteriaCoppa Osteria in Houston offers a cozy yet contemporary dining experience, serving authentic Italian dishes with a modern twist, from wood-fired pizzas to handmade pastas, in a stylish, welcoming atmosphere.
